Minit provides process mining solutions that function across any system and data source. The company’s “connectors” technology is used by various major enterprise brands like SAP, Oracle, and Salesforce. What Minit does is highlight where bottlenecks and inefficiencies occur in productivity, detailing the data on a chart. Algorithms work behind the scenes to evaluate the “order to cash” workflows of an organization. If a workflow process is slowing down is found, the software describes changes that will improve the process. Some suggestions include streamlining processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness by replacing humans with bots. Microsoft says Minit will help its customers make their daily operations more efficient: “Customers will be able to better understand their process data, uncover what operations look like in reality and drive process standardization and improvement across the entire organization to ensure compliance at every step.”

Future

It is worth noting that Microsoft already runs a process mining service within its Microsoft Power Automate suite. Known as Process Advisor, the tool works similarly to Minit, including using a flowchart to highlight inefficiencies. Microsoft does not say what will happen to Process Advisor. However, I would think features from the tool will integrate with Minit. As usual, Microsoft has not given details on how much was paid to acquire the firm. As for Minit – which has locations in London, New York, Bratislava, and Amsterdam – CEO James Dening says Microsoft will help increase the company’s reach: “We are looking forward to what it means to become part of an industry leader like Microsoft and what that brings us – how we can use that scale and excellence to continue to deliver great solutions to our customers.” Tip of the day: Did you know that you can assign keyboard shortcuts for starting applications quickly in Windows 11 and Windows 10? This is a great way to have your most used programs always at your fingertips. In our tutorials we show you how to set those hotkeys for your favorite apps.
