In a tweet last week from Chris Gahlsdorf, a Windows Insider Most Valuable Professional (MVP), confirmed the closure. A link to an email his company received showed the following message from Microsoft: “Hi Olympia participant, “We are sending this email to notify you that we will formally be shutting down the Olympia program in a month. We will be unassigning Olympia licenses and deleting the Olympia feedback path. “Action Required: Take a backup of any data if you are using the provided Olympia licenses in the next 30 days, by September 12, 2022. “Thank you for your participation and feedback 🙂 Let us know if you have any questions! “Thanks, Olympia Team”

Olympia Corp

All fairly vague. Microsoft Olympia was initially launched in 2017. The company describes the service as a “Windows Insider Lab for Enterprise”. By accessing the Olympia Corp., users can preview new features coming to Windows 10 Enterprise. Among the programs getting new features will be Defender Application Guard, Information Protection, Windows Hello for Business, and more. The service came with the following benefits:

“Office 365: Use your Olympia corporate account to access the latest Office apps including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Windows 10 Enterprise: As part of Windows Insider Lab for Enterprise, you are eligible for an upgrade to Windows 10 Enterprise. Provide Feedback: Help shape the future of Windows and give Windows engineering lots of feedback. Try out quests in the Feedback Hub and obtain exclusive badges.”

Tip of the day: Need to create an ad-hoc network from your PC? In our tutorial we show you how to easily create a shareable wireless internet connection in Windows as a free WIFI hotspot.
