WindowsArea has discovered some leaked specifications for both devices. Starting with the Surface Pro 7, Microsoft’s new generation device will come with LTE built in at launch. Usually, the company debuts LTE versions of its hardware after the launch of the Wi-Fi version. Some variants of the Surface Pro 7 will have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8cx processor. Intel versions will be available as usual, this time packing 10TH Generation Core CPUs. Microsoft will also finally bring USB-C connectivity to the Surface Pro range. Earlier this year, a Microsoft Patent suggested the Surface Pro 7 would get USB-C and remove the Surface Connect. That does seem to be the case, with USB-C to be included alongside the Connect.

Looking to the Surface Book 3, it too will get USB-C and USB-A ports, but will apparently ditch the Surface Connect. Windowsarea sources say a Surface Book 3 variant will be available in all-aluminum and without alcantara. Microsoft is preparing this model for business users. This model will also be differentiated by supported changeable Solid State Drives. Looking at new finishes, it seems Microsoft is also preparing a rose gold version, which we imagine will look amazing. It was previously rumored Microsoft will release an AMD variant of the Surface Book, but the report says that won’t happen.
